Who is Oncor? – They Own the Equipment
Oncor is the electric utility delivery company in Round Rock. Oncor owns and operates the infrastructure of the system. They do not sell electricity; they maintain the equipment of the system, read meters, provide data, etc. The charges and fees assessed by Oncor are regulated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and are outlined on all invoices regardless of your chosen utilities provider.
The ONCOR charges are considered “pass-thru;” the commercial electricity provider will include these regulated charges on your bill.
These regulated charges are ‘governed’ by the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
